The Dodgers claimed the first game of the set in a low-scoring bout, and did the same in the second game as they took a 1-0 victory.
Justin Wrobleski got the start for the Dodgers, and continued to shove in what has been a fantastic season for the young left-hander. Wrobleski hurled six scoreless inning against the Rays, allowing just three hits while striking out five batters and avoiding issuing any walks.

Wrobleski worked quickly though the first two innings of the game, retiring the Rays in order and recording three strikeouts on just 22 pitches.
The Dodgers threatened in both innings, putting at least two runners on the bases in each, but couldn’t convert on either opportunity and the game remained scoreless. Tampa Bay got their first baserunner in the top of the third inning, but also failed to get any real offense going.

After Ohtani’s homer, the Dodgers managed just one hit, which came from Freddie Freeman in the same inning.
That didn’t matter, though, as relievers Kyle Hurt and Will Klein both posted goose eggs on the scoreboard in the seventh and eighth inning, and Tanner Scott shut the door on the game with two strikeouts and a flyout to give the Dodgers the win.
