The Toronto Blue Jays aren't exactly having a great 2026 season, especially in comparison to their near World Series title last year.

Looking at this roster, there are a lot of issues, and players performing well below expectations. But that doesn't mean the fans aren't passionate. The best example of the support still being levied the Blue Jays' way is the recent All-Star fan voting results.

USA Today's Bob Nightengale shared the first results, and they are some wild ones for the Blue Jays, especially Vladimir Geurreror Jr.

Blue Jays fans take over All-Star balloting with wild results

Somehow, the Blue Jays have managed to vote Guerrero into first-place as the AL All-Star first baseman. Guerrero received 603,014 votes, while second-place Ben Rice of the New York Yankees got 509,830 votes.

Munetaka Murakami of the Chicago White Sox got 437,107 votes, pacing third, while Nick Kurtz of the Athletics got 269,658 votes.

All three of those first basemen deserve the AL All-Star starting job more than Guerrero this season. Yet, because the Blue Jays fan base took over the voting, Guerrero is in first place.

Rice has a .998 OPS, Kurtz has a .974 OPS, and Murakami has a .938 OPS. Even Willson Contreras of the Boston Red Sox, who received just 177,884 votes, has a .966 OPS.

Guerrero, meanwhile, is down at a .738 OPS this season. He has just three homers and is slugging far worse than ever this season.

Jake Burger of the Texas Rangers, Kody Clemens of the Minnesota Twins, Pete Alonso of the Baltimore Orioles, Christian Walker of the Houston Astros, and Jonathan Aranda of the Tampa Bay Rays have higher OPS marks than Guerrero, with only Burger below .800 OPS.

There are nine first basemen with a better OPS than Guerrero this season, in the American League, and somehow, Guerrero earned more votes than all of them.

If the Blue Jays fan takeover of the All-Star voting can't be seen there, Alejandro Kirk (who's played seven games), Andres Gimenez (.620 OPS), Kazuma Okamoto, George Springer, and Ernie Clement also placed inside the top two at their respective positions.

In the outfield, Daulton Varsho, Jesus Sanchez, and Myles Straw all placed top-10 with at least 272,973 votes each.

The Blue Jays fans have completely taken over the All-Star fan vote once again, even though Clement is the only warranted All-Star from the Blue Jays lineup this season.
