The Chicago White Sox have been one of the biggest surprise stories in baseball this year. They came into the season with little expectations, but currently sit in second place in the AL Central with their 34-31 record.
Munetaka Murakami has been a big reason why the team has looked as good as they have. However, he was placed on the 10-day IL on May 30 after he suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain against the Detroit Tigers.
So, in their first week without their big-time slugger, they have struggled. And it's not going to get any easier with who they are going up against this week.

White Sox fall out of the top ten after a frustrating week on the road
The White Sox had two road series last week that left much to be desired. They struggled against the Minnesota Twins, losing the series 1-2. They would also lose the series 1-2 to the Philadelphia Phillies over the weekend.
With this result, Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter bumped them down a few spots from No. 10 to No. 13 in his latest power rankings. And there is a good chance they can be bumped down even further with the test they are about to receive this week.
"The White Sox scored 35 runs in six games last week, and the pitching staff recorded its fifth shutout of the year on Wednesday, but they came away with a pair of series losses. This week's home stand against the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers will be a terrific gauge of whether one of the season's biggest upstart stories is the real deal."
This will be the first time the White Sox face either of these teams. But you can guarantee that if the team comes out victorious this week, they will rise in next week's power rankings.
