Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte has been included in Uruguay’s World Cup squad, but there was no place for veteran striker Luis Suarez.
Ugarte, 25, is one of three Premier League players to be selected for the tournament, alongside Wolves defender Santiago Bueno and Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur.

However, in a surprising call, boss Marcelo Bielsa has decided to omit former Liverpool striker Suarez from his final squad, with the tournament in North America kicking off in just two weeks time.
Suarez said recently he would reverse his decision to retire from international football, having last featured for his country 20 months ago and it was expected that Bielsa would include the 39-year-old in his final 26-man roster.
Ex-Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez has been included, despite not featuring for Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal since February.
Uruguay are in Group H and play their first match against Saudi Arabia on 15 June, followed by games against Cape Verde and Spain.
