Has Harry Kane finally become a big game demon at Bayern Munich?
· Yahoo Sports
When Harry Kane first moved from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich back in 2023, he was carrying a lot of baggage with him. The stigma of not winning a trophy hung like an albatross around his neck, as did his supposed reputation as a “big game choker”.

These claims stem from performances in EURO 2016, where Kane struggled to score as England were knocked out by Iceland; the 2019 Champions League final, where Spurs came up short vs Liverpool; and the Euro 2020 final against Italy.
This season, however, the England captain has come up clutch in practically every big game so far. To recap, these are his personal numbers this season:
- In the Bundesliga: Multiple goals against 2nd placed Borussia Dortmund, and 36 goals total.
- In the DFB-Pokal: Scored in every single round, including a hat trick in the final.
- A goal in the first leg vs Real Madrid.
- A goal and assist in the second leg vs Madrid.
- A goal and assist in the first leg vs Paris Saint-Germain.
- A goal in the dying moments of the 2nd leg vs PSG.
Overall, he has proven himself in all aspects, in the league, in the notoriously volatile DFB-Pokal, and against top opposition in the Champions League. So, it must be asked. Has Harry Kane finally become a big game demon?
