Football recruiting rankings: Top Oklahoma high school football recruits in 2027 class

A significant part of the highly competitive high school football landscape in the Southeast, several well-known Oklahoma programs have produced some of the best players in the country.

It's a constant recruiting battle with Texas, with the top players always in play for the Lone Star State's college football programs. When both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have been good, a big reason is that they've kept the talent in-state.
This cycle appears to be along that front, with two of the nation's best offensive linemen coming from Oklahoma and both committing to the Sooners.
Here's a look at the top 10 players from the Sooner State in the 2027 class.
1. Cooper Hackett, Fort Gibson
Position: Offensive Tackle
Height: 6-6.5
Weight: 250
Commitment: Oklahoma
Football recruiting notes: Hackett is regarded as one of the best linemen in the 2027 cycle and was a huge when for the Sooners when he committed to Oklahoma last September. That commitment may be challenged though as Texas Tech as remained in touch.
2. Kaeden Penny, Bixby
Position: Interior Offensive Lineman
Height: 6-4
Weight: 280
Commitment: Oklahoma
Football recruiting notes: On a nationally ranked program and the top team in the state, Penny was a noticeable force up front. He could prove vital to Oklahoma's next step in establishing itself as a power in the SEC.
3. Gabriel Osborne Jr., Mustang
Position: Cornerback
Height: 6-2
Weight: 180
Commitment: Uncommitted
Football recruiting notes: Oklahoma has made some significant strides in keeping Osborne home. He wrapped his junior year with 65 tackles, three tackles for loss and two interceptions.
4. Semaj Stanford, Broken Arrow
Position: Safety
Height: 5-11
Weight: 180
Commitment: Oregon
Football recruiting notes: Stanford has received a ton of college interest thanks to his play on both sides of the ball. Defensively he recorded 109 tackles five interceptions, two forced fumbles and two blocked kicks in 2025. As a receiver he total 743 offensive yards and 11 total touchdowns.
5. Titus Hawk, Choctaw
Position: Tight End
Height: 6-7
Weight: 210
Commitment: Notre Dame
Football recruiting notes: Oklahoma and other SEC programs appeared to be the front runners for Hawk. However, he surprised many with his commitment to Notre Dame on May 4.
6. Ben Kolar, Norman North
Position: Tight End
Height: 6-3
Weight: 225
Commitment: Uncommitted
Football recruiting notes: The Timberwolves had some issues last season, but they did have some bright spots with Kolar as a standout. In nine games, he caught 44 passes for 622 yards and eight touchdowns.
7. Case Alexander, Washington High
Position: Linebacker
Height: 6-2
Weight: 195
Commitment: Uncommitted
Football recruiting notes: Matt Campbell recruited Alexander when he was at Iowa State, and that momentum has flipped to Penn State since his arrival. Last season, he recorded 88 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and five sacks.
8. Odaefe Oruru, Jenks
Position: Interior Offensive Lineman
Height: 6-6
Weight: 290
Commitment: Arkansas
Football recruiting notes: Oklahoma State appeared to be the frontrunner for Oruru for a while until Arkansas got involved. He ultimately committed to the Razorbacks on April 10.
9. Colton McComb, Edmond Memorial
Position: Linebacker
Height: 6-2
Weight: 200
Commitment: Kansas State
Football recruiting notes: McComb was the defensive leader for the Bulldogs last season, totaling 88 tackles, 3.5 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He committed to Kansas State on April 4.
10. Dawayne Jones, Booker T. Washington (Tulsa)
Position: Defensive Lineman
Height: 6-3
Weight: 265
Commitment: Kansas State
Football recruiting notes: Jones has seen considerable traction in his recruitment since transferring to Booker T. Washington ahead of his junior year. He committed to Kansas State on February 22.
