HOOVER, Ala. — Tennessee baseball will play Arkansas in the second round of the SEC Tournament after beating South Carolina in the first round.

No. 10 seed Tennessee and No. 7 seed Arkansas will square off on May 20 (5:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network) at the Hoover Met. The winner advances to a quarterfinal game against No. 2 seed Texas on May 22 (4 p.m., SEC Network).
The Vols moved on to the second round after an 11-6 win over South Carolina on May 19. Arkansas earned a bye to the second round as a top-eight seed.
Tennessee and Arkansas did not play in the regular season, but the programs are plenty familiar with each other. They played in the Fayetteville Super Regional last season, which Arkansas won to advance to the College World Series. The Vols have won just three of their last 17 games against the Razorbacks dating back to 2017, including a loss in the 2021 SEC title game.
Tennessee has frequently played deep into the SEC Tournament in recent years, though, advancing to the semifinals in four of the past five seasons.
