Former NC Stat guard officially signs with UNC Basketball

· Yahoo Sports

As North Carolina continues to build their roster for the 2026-27 college basketball season, there are some spots they still need to fill. However, they had a strong start to the transfer portal with some additions to both the frontcourt and backcourt.

Visit asg-reflektory.pl for more information.

One of those additions is former NC State guard Matt Able. He committed to UNC a few weeks back while also entering the NBA Draft process. As Able is set to participate in the scouting combine, he also made it official with North Carolina.

On Thursday, he officially signed with the Tar Heels and will join the program if he pulls out of the NBA Draft process. His stock currently sits as a second-round pick and he's expected to join the Tar Heels after the draft process, barring any major jump in his stock.

As a freshman at NC State, Able averaged 8.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 21.8 minutes per game coming off the bench. He's expected to be a key piece in the Tar Heels' lineup, giving them another scoring guard.
