Jean Kleyn and wife Aisling welcome their rainbow baby girl!

Springbok and Munster lock Jean Kleyn and his beautiful wife, Aisling Kleyn, welcomed their rainbow baby girl, Eljse-Mae Kleyn, on 29 April at the Limerick Regional Maternity Hospital in Ireland.
The couple also has a three-year-old son named Elijah Kleyn, whose name is tattooed on Jean’s right arm.

JEAN AND AISLING WELCOME THEIR RAINBOW BABY GIRL
The 34‑year‑old Aisling beamed with happiness as she shared the news with her Instagram followers.
“Eljse-Mae Kleyn. Arrived 29/04/26. I will be forever in awe of how a normal day can end up holding the most extraordinary joy,” she began.
“We are absolutely obsessed with our little sunrise baby. She is everything and more. Her name translates as God’s promise & that is exactly what she is,” she wrote.
“Everything in time. Her name is pronounced ‘L-sha Mae’ for all the Irish,” she added.

Aisling has openly shared her pregnancy journey with her followers. In 2025, she revealed she had conceived through In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and that they had previously lost a baby at eight weeks during their first round of IVF.
Therefore, the idea of going through another round of IVF was daunting for the couple. Aisling decided to pause her teaching career due to the demanding IVF process.
In December 2025, Aisling revealed that, sadly, one of the twins had not survived. She wrote:
“I never thought, a week later, we would have to write this post. We really felt we were far enough along to be safe, however last Friday, we lost one of our beautiful twins, she began.
“We are absolutely shattered. After a tough start, we really began to believe our dream was a reality. The shock is numbing, and once again we try to accept another loss,” she wrote.
“My heart is broken in so many different ways. The physical and emotional trauma just leads to anxiety and guilt for not being able to protect what mattered,” she added.

“I have been asked about this ring and where it’s from. It’s not passed down, it was a very kind gift from [sic] husband after he won the World Cup,” she wrote.
“It was bought in South Africa so I’m afraid I can’t recommend. It was for a pregnancy that we sadly lost so I wear it to remember how we fight together,” she added.
