Where did Florida rank among SEC teams in 2026 NFL Draft picks?

The 2026 NFL Draft was once again a referendum on the depth of talent across the Southeastern Conference, with the weekend serving as a development measuring stick for the Orange and Blue. While it did not produce a top-10 pick, the Florida football program still turned in an impressive draft performance.

The Gators finished among the top SEC programs in total selections. As the program looks to reestablish itself nationally, Florida will aim to convert that momentum fueled by this draft and recent recruiting success into wins next season.

With seven draftees, Florida had a player selected in each round for the first time ever. The class was headlined by defensive lineman Caleb Banks, who was selected at No. 18 overall by the Minnesota Vikings.

In what has become a common occurrence, the SEC again flexed its depth, producing multiple first-round picks and a strong presence throughout the draft. The conference had seven players selected in the opening round alone.

Programs like Georgia (10), Alabama (9) and LSU (8) led the way in total selections; however, Florida was right behind them, tied with Texas at seven. UF's draft class saw distribution across all seven rounds as well as every position group.

Roster depth that produces pro-level talent from the early to late rounds shows that Gainesville remains a wellspring of future NFL players despite the results on the field.
