It is a big football recruiting weekend in Bloomington as three of the top in-state recruits in the 2027 class will be on campus at Indiana for official visits.
Five-star Lawrence North wide receiver Monshun Sales, four-star Franklin Central defensive end Jayce Brewer and four-star New Palestine tight end Mason Oglesby will make their official visits to IU this weekend, along with several other top national prospects.

The 6-foot-5, 205-pound Sales, also a track star, is rated as the No. 7 overall prospect in the country on the 247sports composite list. Sales has talked highly of the IU program throughout his recruiting process. He told Tom Loy of 247sports this week that he continues to have a strong relationship with IU coach Curt Cignetti.
“I love Cignetti,” Sales told Loy. “He is a guy who is ready to win and is ready to work. He is not going to come in and bulls--t you. He is there for one job. He is there to win and he’s not going to let nothing stop him from doing that.”
Sales had previously scheduled official visits to Alabama (weekend of May 29), Ohio State (weekend of June 12) and Miami (weekend of June 19). A newcomer to the mix is Texas. After taking an unofficial visit to Austin last weekend, Sales has scheduled an official visit to Texas for the weekend of June 5.
Sales caught 37 passes for 794 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior for Lawrence North.
The 6-4, 230-pound Oglesby, is coming off official visits to Purdue and North Carolina the past two weekends. He also has official visits scheduled for Kansas (weekend of May 1), USC (May 6), Ohio State (May 29) and Texas Tech (June 6).
Oglesby caught 34 passes for 513 yards and six touchdowns as a junior for the Class 5A state champion Dragons.
The 6-5, 240-pound Brewer also has official visits lined up to Purdue (June 5), Tennessee (June 12) and Michigan (June 19).
The 6-5, 240-pound Brewer finished last season with 31 tackles, including nine for a loss, with 2½ sacks. In his two seasons at Franklin Central, he has 69 tackles, 21 TFLs and 5½ sacks. Brewer also played tight end as a junior, catching 14 passes for 111 yards and one touchdown.
