After dropping its first SEC series of the season, Texas baseball will resume its conference championship chase with Alabama in town.

Texas is set to open a three-game series Friday against Alabama at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. After losing twice at Texas A&M last weekend, Texas is 9-5 in SEC play and tied with the Aggies for second place in the conference standings. Sixth-place Alabama is 8-7 in its SEC games.
