Tigers outfielder hospitalized following violent collision with teammate

Detroit Tigers outfielder Parker Meadows will reportedly remained hospitalized in Minnesota overnight, the result of a collision in left-center field with teammate Riley Greene on April 9.

Tigers manager A.J. Hinch told reporters after the game between the Tigers and Minnesota Twins that he was “worried” in the aftermath of the injury, which saw Meadows leave Target Field on a medical cart.

Meadows bit his lip or the inside of his mouth and was “pretty out of it” on the field, according to Jason Beck of MLB.com.
