Rory McIlroy finally broke through with his first Majors victory in 2025 after over a decade of falling short in the season's first major. McIlroy joined Scottie Scheffler and Jon Rahm as Masters champions since 2022, blocking off the chance for any surprise winners in Augusta.
This year, those three past champions enter the Masters as the unquestioned three favorites to win the tournament over the field. However, at some point, an unexpected golfer from the middle of the field will burst onto the scene and etch his name in history with a Masters title.
So, who has the best chance to unseat McIlroy at the top of the Masters leaderboard? The Sporting News breaks down the odds and best bets to win the Masters in 2026.
Masters Tournament odds 2026
Unsurprisingly, the golfers with the best odds are each of the last three Masters champions dating back to 2022. Here's a look at the odds for each golfer at this year's Masters, according to DraftKings. Only golfers with odds of +20000 or better are listed.

The Masters is the only one of the four majors to play at the same course every year, as the field returns to Augusta National Golf Club each Spring. The course will play at a par-72 and 7,565 yards, with no significant changes to the course this year.
The length of the course allows long hitters to gain potential advantages throughout the week, something that has become imperative in today's game. However, the key to the Masters is always the approach shots, which can make-or-break a round if the golfers make the wrong swing decisions.
Putting isn't too difficult for the pros here as long as they are playing the course properly, but longer putts are usually more difficult beyond just the distance. It's crucial for golfers to avoid those blow-up holes, especially considering the last eight winners scored at least a -10 for the round.
Masters expert picks
Masters best bets to win tournament
When it comes to the best bets to win the Masters, it's hard to go wrong with the three favorites. Scottie Scheffler (+440), Rory McIlory (+1075) and Jon Rahm (+910) have combined to win each of the last four Masters tournaments dating back to 2022, and all three are capable of taking home another green jacket.
Besides those three, though two players who could break through for their first major this weekend are Ludvig Aberg (+1700) and Xander Schauffele (+1800). Aberg has a few top-five finishes this year, and he's finished second and seventh in both of his career Masters starts. Schauffele, meanwhile, appears healthier than he was at this time last year, and that would put him in the same tier as the big three.
Masters value picks for 2026
Since August of last year, Cameron Young (+2350) has been a top five player in the sport, producing wins at The Wyndham Championship and The Players. However, Young's odds have him in the backend of the top 10 and closer to the golfers with the 17th-best odds than the golfers with the second-best odds. In 2024 and 2025, the Masters winner was also The Players champion, so there is history that could favor Young.
Robert MacIntyre (+3700) is outside the top 15 in odds to win the Masters, which is surprising considering his recent success. MacIntyre finished second at the 2025 U.S. Open, T-7 at the The British Open, and fourth at The Players, so the lefty is in a groove. It feels like a matter of time before MacIntyre produces his first major victory.
As for Russell Henley (+4700), his odds more reflect his inconsistent major finishes as opposed to his top-10 OWGR. Last year, Henley missed the cut at the first two majors, but finished T-10 in the last two for a total of five top-10 major finishes since 2023. Henley doesn't have the power as most of the field, but he makes up for it with accuracy and short game.
Masters sleeper picks
Harris English (+10000) isn't a typical sleeper, since he was good enough to be on the 2025 Ryder Cup team. However, English's two runner up major finishes in 2025 may come as a surprise to many. English provides a level of consistency that will allow him to stick around through the weekend and give him to chance to make a move on Sunday.
Casual fans may not be familiar with Jacob Bridgeman (+9200), but the 26-year-old is one of the hottest golfers entering this week. Bridgeman won The Genesis Invitational in February and has produced two other top-five finishes and a top-10 finish in 2026 alone. However, Bridgeman has never played in the Masters, which explains why his odds are not higher.
The DP World Tour's Alex Noren (+16000) ended his wins drought in Europe with two DP World Tour wins last Summer. At 43 years-old, Noren certainly has much experience, which could give him an edge over many of the longshot golfers in this year's Masters field.
Masters Tournament winners by year
In recent memory, the biggest names have won the Masters, with Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy all combining to win the last four Masters tournaments. However, from 2011 to 2021, eight of the 11 Masters winners won their first major by winning the tournament, something that hasn't happened since Hideki Matsuyama's victory.
Here's a look at the full list of Masters champions in the tournament's history.
