Jaguars fans — would you have offered defensive end Travon Walker more or less than the $27.5 annual salary he signed for?

I would’ve offered Walker $30+ million per year. His pass rush production may be underwhelming for a former No. 1 overall pick and current top-12 paid EDGE, but Walker can at least push the pocket with power, and his work against the run is amongst the best in the league. When you also consider his positional versatility and standout character, it’s easy to see why the Jaguars wanted to lock him up before he hit the open market.

“Travon fits what we want to be and what we’re about as an organization,” said general manager James Gladstone. “His love for the game and his teammates is infectious and his determination to play through injury last season cemented our belief in him. His best football is still ahead of him, and we’re excited that will happen with the Jaguars.”
