Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is continuously taking necessary steps to move the state towards becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy. As part of this effort, several schemes are being implemented to make the youth of the state self-reliant and to provide them with opportunities for self-employment. Among these, the ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan’ (CM Yuva) has become the first choice of the youth in the state.

Its popularity can be gauged from the fact that in the financial year 2025-26, more than 3,75,000 applications were received from across the state, while the state government had set a target of distributing 1,50,000 loans for this financial year.

The figures clearly show that the CM Yuva scheme is attracting the youth and helping them realize their dreams. In providing 100% benefit of the scheme, Jaunpur secured the first position in the state, followed by Azamgarh in second place and Hardoi in third.

Yogi government is not only focusing on providing employment to the youth of the state but is also enabling them to become strong entrepreneurs who can generate employment for others. As a result, young people in the state are not only expanding their businesses but also bringing positive change to society.

In this regard, the CM Yuva Scheme has proved to be an important step toward empowering the youth of the state and encouraging them towards entrepreneurship. Under the scheme, against a target of 1,50,000 loans for FY 2025-26, a total of 3,86,092 youths applied for loans across the state. Out of these, 3,30,441 applications were forwarded to banks. Banks approved 1,45,454 applications, and so far 1,38,304 youths have already been given loans for self-employment.

Jaunpur secured the first position in the state in delivering the full benefits of the CM Yuva scheme. District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra Singh said, “In line with the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a special campaign is being run in the district to connect youths with banks and facilitate loans for self-employment.”

For the financial year 2025-26, the district had been given a target of providing loans to 2,700 youths under the campaign. Against this, 9,785 applications were received, of which 8,406 were sent to banks. So far, 4,092 applicants have been given loans. This means that 151.56 percent of the target has been achieved.

The District Magistrate said, “By distributing loans beyond the target, Jaunpur secured the first position in the entire state, maintaining the top position throughout the financial year.”

Azamgarh District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, continuous special drives are being conducted to ensure that more and more youths benefit from the CM Yuva scheme.

Before April 2025, the district was ranked 25th in the state in implementing the scheme. After April, block-level workshops have been organized regularly to ensure the scheme reaches every eligible youth. During these sessions, senior officials bring bankers and applicants together for counseling and problem-solving.

As a result, for the past several months Azamgarh has consistently held the second position in the state in implementing the scheme. In FY 2025-26, the district was given a target of 2,700 loans, against which 8,871 applications were received. Out of these, 7,751 applications were sent to banks, and 4,049 loans have already been distributed. This means 149.96% of the target has been achieved, placing Azamgarh second in the state.
