Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart updated the health of quarterback Gunner Stockton. He shared that Stockton has been dealing with a minor knee injury that he suffered in offseason workouts, but is better now. Stockton has been spotted with a sleeve on his knee at Georgia's spring practice.

“He’s great," Smart said. "He’s practicing. He had a little offseason injury in our workouts. He’s fine now. He was limited a little bit first couple of days but out there competing, doing a good job, focusing on the other things he needed to improve on.”

Georgia needs Stockton to elevate his game to another level during the 2026 college football season. Stockton played well in his first year as a starter, posting 2,894 passing yards, 24 passing touchdowns and five interceptions. His QBR of 84.9 ranked No. 6 in college football. He contributed significantly on the ground with 462 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns.

Stockton is working with a very different group of receivers this spring after Colbie Young, Dillon Bell, Noah Thomas and Zachariah Branch left for the NFL draft. Stockton is building chemistry with some of Georgia's top receivers like London Humphreys, Sacovie White-Helton and Talyn Taylor. However, Georgia Tech transfer Isiah Canion, who is expected to fill the Colbie Young role, has been limited this spring with an ankle issue that Kirby Smart says is not "real serious" for the rising junior.

Stockton's good health is important for the Bulldogs. Georgia's spring game, G-Day, will be on Saturday, April 18 at 1 p.m. ET. The Georgia spring game won't be televised again, but will be available via radio.
