Just days earlier, Bryson posted: “I love you, South Africa! 🇿🇦❤️ What an honor it was to win in front of the most incredible fans. You guys made my first experience in South Africa unforgettable!
Bryon DeChambeau also sang South Africa’s praises to President Cyril Ramaphosa.
He said at the LIV Golf event: “Unbelievable time. I can’t thank you enough for your hospitality…I appreciate everything. I can’t wait to be back in your country. This place is beautiful”
GAYTON GLOATS OVER COMMENTS
Bryson DeChambeau’s comments about South Africa was lapped up by Minister of Sport, Gayton McKenzie, who has also been praised for LIV Golf SA’s success.
The minister retweeted the post, tagging AfriForum CEO Kallie Kriel and Afrikaner rights activist Ernst Roets, claiming that Bryson’s tweet “is messing up your “genocide” bullsh*t story about South Africa”.

Red herring.

Ernst responded with the words “red herring” – accusing Gayton of spreading misinformation.
The outspoken activist is currently in the US working on a project called “White Cross”, which hopes to erect three thousand white crosses in front of the White House in Washington, D.C.
According to Ernst, the project hopes to highlight the “crisis in South Africa and the solution of self-governance” It also aims to amplify the voices of “victims of farm attacks, land grabs and racial exclusion to the U.S. to share their personal testimonies”
KALLIE KRIEL: ‘THERE IS NO WHITE GENOCIDE IN SOUTH AFRICA’
While Kallie Kriel did not directly respond to Gayton McKenzie or Bryson DeChambeau’s tweet, he has made headlines for distancing himself from US President Donald Trump’s claims of a “white genocide” in South Africa.
In an interview with eNCA’s People’s Court this week, he said of Trump’s spread of misinformation: “We say there’s an attack on them. Never genocide”.
AfriForum CEO Kallie Kriel has, for the first time, acknowledged that there is no genocide of white farmers in South Africa. AfriForum and Solidarity have been in the United States in recent months, spreading messages of land grabs and genocide. https://t.co/NpYWdqT48e pic.twitter.com/gZha61FLLB

It’s not the first time the AfriForum CEO has denied claims that the organisation was behind the contentious label.
He told Newzroom Afrika last year. “Our stance is quite clear, the ‘Kill the Boer, Kill the farmer’ chant, calling for the killing of Afrikaners on an ethnic basis, is a genocidal call. But we never said there is genocide.
“All we are asking from the government and the president is – condemn this call, acknowledge the fact that we are seeing tortures that accompany these murders, and declare it a priority crime.”
