North Bend, Marshfield girls top Junction City in tennis

North Bend’s girls tennis team won all eight matches against Junction City last week.

The Bulldogs got singles wins by Aubrey Moore, Amelia Peck, Kamryn Van Elsberg and Ella Warner.

The victorious doubles teams for the Bulldogs were Grace Clark and Olivia Smith, Darrah Windham and Cadence Moore, Isabelle Gaudette and Audrina Flores-Summers, and Amanda Chen and Chloe Patton.

North Bend’s boys got one win against Junction City, by singles player Gabriel Stappler.

Marshfield boys and girls both beat Junction City.

Marshfield’s boys beat the Tigers 7-1, sweeping the singles matches with wins by Devon Pederson, Brayden Le, Elijah Miller and Landon Zukaitis and getting doubles wins by the teams of Zechariah Lake and Treyson England, Matthew LaMar and Louis Wheatley, and Bennett Garner and Owen Hoffman.

Marshfield’s girls won 5-3 over Junction City. The Pirates swept the four doubles matches with the squads of Reanna Mathias and Mallory Edd, Azura Beckett and Isabella Johnson, Ella Chan and Olivia Hoffman, and Rylee Miller and Tia Reiber. Samantha Howell won her singles match for the Pirates.

The Pirates and Bulldogs are off until hosting Cascade on March 31.
