Patriots make decision on FB Jack Westover's free agent contract
· Yahoo Sports
The New England Patriots officially tendered fullback/tight end Jack Westover as an exclusive rights free agent, according to MassLive's Mark Daniels on Monday.
That means Westover can't enter negotiations with other teams, and he must either sign his tender or sit out the season.

Westover switched from tight end to fullback during the 2025 offseason. He appeared in all 17 regular-season games, totaling 246 snaps. He caught one reception during the year but did not record any yards.
The versatile former undrafted free agent appeared in all four playoff games with the Patriots and started in two of them. He recorded an eight-yard reception against the Los Angeles Chargers in the wild-card round of the playoffs. Now, he is expected to return as a depth piece for the Patriots.

The Patriots reportedly agreed to a three-year deal with Buffalo Bills fullback Reggie Gilliam on Monday as well. So Westover is expected to have some competition at full back with the recent signing and Brock Lampe's expected return.
