The Memphis Grizzlies announced on March 4 that they are signing the former Marquette men's basketball standout to a multi-year contract. ESPN reported that it is a two-year deal.

Prosper had been with the Grizzlies on a two-way contract.

The 6-foot-8 forward had an up-and-down start to his NBA career after getting drafted in the first round by the Dallas Mavericks in 2023. He appeared in 40 games as a rookie while the Mavericks reached the NBA Finals.

But his second season ended in March when he needed surgery to repair a right-wrist injury. He was waived by the Mavericks on Sept. 2, 2005.

The Grizzlies scooped up Prosper on a two-way deal, and he has appeared in 36 games. He has gotten more playing time in recent weeks, averaging 14.0 points on 67.5% shooting in 24.3 minutes over his last nine games.
