Once Daniel Jones was named the Colts' starting quarterback last summer, this outcome felt inevitable.
Richardson has already been connected to the Minnesota Vikings in a report from NFL Network, but what is the former fourth overall pick looking for in his next landing spot?
Richardson's agents, Deiric Jackson and Chris Rogers of Legacy Sports Advisors, recently spoke with FOX Sports Henry McKenna about the trade talks.
"Just looking for fits — teams that want to build and put AR in a position to succeed," Jackson told McKenna.

Injuries have been an unfortunate part of Richardson's career up to this point. In three seasons, he's appeared in just 17 games.
When on the field, Richardson's play has been inconsistent. He's completed just 50.6% of his pass attempts with 11 touchdowns to 13 interceptions. He's also rushed for 634 yards and 10 additional touchdowns.
However, Richardson is still just 23 years old, and the talent that he possesses is evident. In recent years, we've seen a few quarterbacks thrive when given second or even third or fourth chances in a new environment.
"He needs a fresh start. [His next team] is gonna be surprised to find out how smart he is," Rogers told McKenna. "When he was drafted, he was 20 years old. So now he's mature. He's seen a lot. … I just think his next stop — it's going to be box office."
Richardson's agents wouldn't discuss which teams had reached out.
"He's got something to prove," Rogers added. "He's going to do his job. He's going to give his team the best chance to win. He's excited."
As far as what the Colts could get in return for trading Richardson, recent history could give us an idea, but ultimately, this will be determined by how strong Richardson's trade market is. Richardson possesses a ton of sky-high untapped potential that could certainly be intriguing for teams.
