Packers announce addition of former Auburn GM as college scout
· Yahoo Sports
The Green Bay Packers announced the addition of Will Redmond, who is joining the team's player personnel staff as a college scout. Redmond's arrival was previously reported by CBS Sports and FootballScoop.com.
Redmond was previously the general manager of Auburn, director of player personnel at LSU and director of player personnel at Middle Tennessee State. For clarity: He is NOT former Packers defensive back Will Redmond, who played in Green Bay between the 2018 and 2021 seasons.

Redmond joins a group of at least eight college scouts working under director of college scouting Matt Malaspina. Given his experience at Auburn and LSU, Redmond could be taking over the area scouting role in the southeastern region -- a fertile scouting ground for pro football teams.
FootballScoop.com reported that Redmond has been scouting for the Packers at collegiate all-star games during the pre-draft process.
Redmond's experience as a collegiate general manager in the era of NIL and the transfer portal should make for an easy transition into a college scouting role at the pro level.
Redmond's bio from the Packers:
Redmond joins the Packers after working as the general manager at Auburn University (2024-25). Prior to Auburn, he worked at Louisiana State University as the director of player personnel (2021-23). While at LSU he was named Player Personnel Director of the Year for 2022 by FootballScoop.com. Redmond also served as the director of player personnel at Middle Tennessee State University (2016-18) before he landed at the University of Kansas as the director of recruiting (2019-20). He earned his undergraduate (2013) and graduate degrees (2015) from the University of Tennessee in Sport Management while working with the university's athletic department in multiple capacities.
The Packers have not yet announced a replacement for Jon-Eric Sullivan, who left to become the Miami Dolphins general manager. Brian Gutekunst said the team would restructure following the 2026 NFL draft.
